WOrd of time saving advice. Get the free snmp tool for deploying to windows.... Made life real easy for me getting things reporting quickly. The server crew is a tad slow so I mopped it up for them.
also run 2-3 strings I this more than this but my former teams at a fortune 15 company.. we actually ran strings for each type of environment. Smaller offices don't need it as much but it came in handy locking stuff off for audit.
also if you have a mpls environment get your AS numbers from your provider and also get the big ole spreadsheet out and get you're IP groups set also you can identify your traffic areas
I Got real creative with my maps also, we are world wide so as a example I have pics of each floor plan down to the idf and server racks and have the devices marked in the pics. A lot air time but even my boss can get to a site and walk a user through what the device looks Kline and what the user might need to look at.
