- What was life like before using SolarWinds? (Include what you were using and why you decided it was time for a change)
We are an international company and have thousands of devices installed in more than 300 cities around the world. Before Solarwinds, it was hard to track the status of our devices and make batch updates. We were using HP Openview but mainly for the servers. We needed a product that we colud user for our network devices also, so we decided it was time for a change.

Especially NPM and NCM.
- Did you consider other options, and why did you choose SolarWinds?
I was not included in the evaluation process. I know that they had considered some other products but don't know exactly why they chose solarwinds.
- How has life been since you've rolled out SolarWinds in your environment?
We are using more and more everyday. Since we've rolled out SolarWinds in our environment, a new department has been created to monitor the system and track the alarm status every second. Because of this, we can minimize the down time . we are also customized the device property pages to include site specific informations and that helps a lot.
