This is certainly possible using the "Unmanage Scheduling Utility" located on the Orion Server under [Start -> SolarWinds Orion -> Advanced Features]. This will allow you to define the time period for which you don't want the node, application, interface, etc. managed on a regularly scheduled and reoccurring basis.
