custom alert output variable name

Hi There, First post so please be patient...

I have created a custom Monitor that outputs an application status. If the application status is equal to 2 then I need to restart the application. The standard restart trigger isn't working so I have decided to simplify things and just use a batch file with a service restart command.

The problem I have is as follows:

There are up to 3 instances of the application running on each server. The monitor script pulls the information from a file to determine how many instances are running and which application is associated to which service.   This is all working great and the monitor outputs the service names as the component status which in turn is sent via an alert.

e.g.

Node Name XXXXXX

Application Monior:XXXXXXXX

Status:Critical

When I look at the monitor in SAM is displays the associated application/ service which is the detail I need to differentiate which service to restart.

e.g.

Critical Windows Script Monitor   Status

SS_Service1
SS_Service2 N/A
SS_Service3

N/A

What variable do I need use to put the SS_Service in the e-mail alert and the to use as a reset trigger?
