NCM RTCD (Real-time change detection) Troubleshooting

I have tried setting up the NCM RTCD and have supplied all necessary parameters like SMTP server and email addresses. I have triggered changes and the config changes are reflected on the NCM web console as events(RealtimeNotificationSuccessful - Config downloaded). However, email alerts are not sent. How do I trace this problem? Is there a utility or log file where it shows the error in sending the email alert?
