Did you ever get this solved? The "one hour" install claim is now going on three days. Can't install NPM 10.4.2, NCM 7.1, or SAM 5.2. They all fail with the same error about needing "Microsoft SQL Server 2012 System CLR Types". Then an URL to Microsoft that doesn't exist: "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=116207".
I thought the installer was supposed to install any necessary components. I downloaded 32- and 64-bit versions from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29065. No joy. Still fails.
I've uninstalled everything showing. Booted several times. Tried with domain login and local admin login.
I wish the installer actually did something with the email address. Tech support should see when a user is installing the same software 3, 4, 5 times in a short period of time, and every time it fails.
