Hi both, thanks for the responses ref this, I doubt I'll get round to using an SQL query to tidy this up (at least in this instance) but it's good to know that that is a possibility for future reference.
Ref using WMI polling, will certainly look into using that & perhaps get some side by side comparisons going, it's such an infrequent issue however ...
