As I wrote above, we are going to wait what MS will do in service release before we will decide what to replace. Currently it is still fully functional to use SNMP on Windows 2012. Users also may use WMI for node performance monitoring.
Before we will invest time into change in polling we want to make sure that MS won't change their mind Image may be NSFW.

anyway if we would decide to change SNMP to WMI or CMI, then it would be a quick change.
