- What was life like before using SolarWinds? (Include what you were using and why you decided it was time for a change) Before SolarWinds I have used a number of monitoring systems, such as Nagios, and Kaseya. None of them measure up to SolarWinds.
- Which SolarWinds product(s) saved your bacon?
NPM saved me on a network packet loss issue that I couldn’t nail down. Once I had NPM installed I tracked it down to a bad switch.
3. Did you consider other options, and why did you choose SolarWinds?
I’ve used Nagios, Kaseya, SolarWinds just has the most flexible and robust suit of tools to help monitor and maintain the network.
4. How has life been since you've rolled out SolarWinds in your environment?
It has been progressively getting easier to maintain the network and be more proactive on finding issues before they *become* issues. I only expect them to get better as we implement more modules of SolarWinds.
