These jobs are on the polling engine server, not the database. Yes, uninstalling/re-installing the Job Engine/Collector will reset the file where these jobs are stored on the poller.

So, it sounds like if rebooting the server (the poller) doesn't get that number to go down, the next step would be the uninstall/re-install of the Job Engine/Collector.

I should also note that I did grab that template just a few days ago and I still had the problem. As I noted before, checking the "count statistic as difference" seemed to resolve the issue there.
